Rules and Format
Divisions & Weight Classes
Men's High School: 9th-12th grade
Weight Classes: 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, 285.
Women's High School: 9th- 12th grade
Weight Classes: 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 155, 170, 190, 235.
Rules & Format
Dates: Wrestling will take place on December 15 and 16, 2023
Bracketing: The event will begin with a double elimination tournament. All wrestlers in both divisions eliminated on day 1 will enter a bracket on day 2 for additional matches.
Style: NFHS Rules
Period Duration: All Championships matches will be 2-2-2 minute periods. All consolation and hard luck brackets will be 1-2-2 minute periods
Awards
TEAM:
Men: Top 8 men's teams will win a team trophy.
Women: Top 6 women's teams will a team trophy.
Combined Team Race (combined scores of teams that bring a men and women's squad: Top 3 schools will earn a team trophy.
INDIVIDUAL:
Men: Top 8 wrestlers will receive Belt Buckle.
Women: Top 6 wrestlers will receive Belt Buckle.
Outstanding Wrestler selected in each division.
Gear & Requirements
Headgear: Headgear is required
Mouth guards: Wrestlers with braces must wear a mouthguard.
Weigh-in Attire: Participants must wear a singlet & suitable undergarment to weigh in.
Skin Check: A skin check will be performed during weigh-in. Hair, facial hair, and nails must meet NFHS standards.
